Sri Lakshmi Parcha hails from a family from Vijayawada, Andhrapradesh. She was born to Sri Nandiwada Umamheswara Rao and Smt Annapurna. She was introduced to dance at a very young age. She started her Bharatha Natyam training at the age of 5 under the guidance of Guru Sri. Josyula Sita Rama Sastry. and later on, trained in Kuchipudi by renowned gurus Smt. Kothapalli Padma and Sri Pasumarthy Venkateswara sarma. Though she is in the medical profession, she is very passionate about Kuchipudi. Guru Smt. Srilakshmi Parcha has spent a lifetime acuminating her artistic craft to reach the forefront of Kuchipudi dance tradition and she is recognized internationally as an exceptionally talented Kuchipudi artist and an able illustrious teacher.
She performed several solo dances and also participated in several ballets like Bhaktha Prahlada, Sri Krishna Parijatham, Chandalika, Valmiki, Vengamamba, and several other ballets.
With her innovating dancing styles, an exclusive teaching approach by addressing finer details of the dance she cherished as an incogitable Kuchipudi artist. She has received numerous Laurels throughout her dancing career nationally and Internationally. Her artistic supremacy is represented in all aspects of her dancing, choreographing, and teaching. She mastered the technique of teaching the little kids over the years of the period. She says that she does exercise, yoga, and meditation through this Kuchipudi dance.
In 2008 she established her own dance school Sri Ananda Natyalayam. As an artistic director of the school, she wants to pass on this unique art of Heritage to the next generations. Her goal is to give her best to each student and help them grow in this art form to their fullest potential. Enable the students to appreciate Vedic heritage and culture. Our objective is to provide each child with an opportunity to perform this art.
